Custom Semi-Pit Weighbridge Description

The custom semi-pit weighbridge design is a variation on the standard semi-pit design. If you are not familiar with the standard semi-pit design, please visit that page first.

Although a 1m clear space is required by legislation, in some rare circumstances, it may be technically or economically impractical to integrate the 1m clear space for a particular site or installation.

In these circumstances, one or both side walls may be built adjacent to the weighbridge deck (with a 50mm gap). Since access to the loadcells is still essential, either access plates must be incorporated as part of the weighbridge deck, or access holes must be incorporated as part of the side wall design.

An exemption (or concession) must be requested from the particular state's Trade Measurement Authority prior to construction. Exemption is not guaranteed.
